28" Expansion Joint
Replacement of a 28" expansion joint in a high-pressure piping system. The project was carried out efficiently, running both day and night shifts to minimize downtime. The existing joint was safely removed, the new expansion joint installed, and all welds were completed to code. Following installation, the welds underwent X-ray inspection and were approved by the Department of Labour Inspector, confirming the quality and integrity of the repair.
Head Replacement
Absolute Pressure Welding completed a major repair on a deaerator tank, which involved removing the existing head and installing a new one. The head was precisely cut off, and all required head attachments—including nozzles and fittings—were welded in place in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Once all attachments were installed and inspected, the new head was reattached and fully welded to the shell. The repair was completed to code, ensuring the vessel’s structural integrity and safe long-term operation.
Heating System
Absolute Pressure Welding completed the installation of a comprehensive heating system featuring multiple room heaters and in-floor heating zones. The system was assembled using a combination of threaded and Victaulic connections. An expansion loop was incorporated into the design to accommodate thermal movement and maintain system integrity under varying temperatures. The installation was completed to code, providing a reliable and efficient heating solution built for long-term performance.
Boiler Re-Tube
Absolute Pressure Welding delivered a complete boiler overhaul, removing all boiler tubes to access the vessel and address years of internal scale buildup. An access opening was precision-cut into the shell, allowing for a thorough internal clean before the shell was professionally patched and welded to code. The boiler was then fully re-tubed, restoring performance, improving efficiency, and extending the unit’s service life — all completed with a focus on safety, quality, and long-term reliability.
